The best thing about earning money on HypeHype is that anyone can do it!
All games will automatically earn HypeHype's platform currency, HypeX.
There are 2 ways to earn HypeX. Firstly, earnings are generated based on players playtime. The longer that they play, the more you will earn.
Secondly is to set up an in-game purchases or store within your game. This store can offer things like custom skins, power-ups or currency. The in-game purchase feature will unlock once your game reaches engagement level 10.
Creators, we’ve got some exciting updates to help you earn even more from your games! This year, in just 7 months of testing, we’ve already shared $208,000 USD with HypeHype creators, and we’re making things even better with frequent updates based on your feedback.
In-game purchases are now a game-changer, giving creators more control over how they earn from their games.
By combining engaging gameplay with well-designed in-game purchases, creators can attract more players and significantly boost their total earnings. Creators who have implemented in-game purchases are already seeing up to 30% of their total earnings come from purchases, showcasing the growing importance of this revenue stream.
The first purchases in your game by anyone will earn your game up to 4x more HypeCash earnings as a bonus. You can earn up to 160 additional HypeCash per player per game.
Verified creators can now add in-game purchases right from the start—no need to reach Level 10.
If you haven’t added in-game purchases yet, now is the time to explore how they can enhance your revenue potential. Learn how to add in-game purchases to your game, and how to get verified.
Having your games remixed by the community—or creating a remix yourself are exciting ways to grow your earnings!
When games are remixed, the entire remix family benefits. Both the original game (parent) and the remixed games (children) can earn additional bonuses from engagement-based earnings and in-game purchase revenues.
All remix bonuses are paid on top of the game’s normal earnings, making remixing and collaborating even more rewarding!
10% bonus based on earnings from other family members is paid to the original game (parent) if there’s only one parent and child, and both games are Level 10+.
If the direct parent is under Level 10, the 10% bonus goes to the highest-level ancestor in the remix family (e.g., grandparent) that is Level 10+.
5% bonus based on the original parent game’s earnings is distributed among the best-performing members of the remix family that are Level 10+ and actively generating revenue.
If multiple children and grandchildren exist, the bonus is divided among the family members who meet these criteria.
Example
If your game earns 100,000 HypeCash and another creator remixes it into their own game that earns 80,000 HypeCash, and both games are Level 10 or higher, your game (parent) can earn an additional 10% bonus (8,000 HypeCash) from the remix, while the remixed game (child) can earn a 5% bonus (5,000 HypeCash) from your game’s earnings. Both games can benefit from extra payouts.
We’ve updated our Engagement Points (EP) system to better reflect how players engage and make purchases in your games.
