Collab Editing is all about creating games with your friends! The game creation process can be complex so collaborating with others to create games together can enhance the creative and technical workflow, not to mention be a fun experience for all.
You can also invite other creators to share ownership of the game, so everyone can not only co-create and collaborate, but also work on the game in their own time too.
IMPORTANT:
This will share you game file with additional users. ONLY ADD TRUSTED USERS TO YOUR GAME. This will ensure that your Game is not messed with.
To add a user to your Game as a Co-creator / Editor:
Here are some terms you will need to know:
Owner: | The creator of the game. They have full admin access. |
Co-owner: | The shared creator of the game. They can change other creators' role and have full admin access. |
Editor: | They can edit and save the game. |
Viewer: | Can view the game whilst still in draft mode, perfect for private game testers. |
Reminder: Only the host can save the Game.
You can also give participation roles to others when you are creating a game in the editor.
Those permissions can be reverted to a spectator in the same menu as well.
Owner of the game can adjust shares for each co-creator by tapping Manage Shares below the Co-creator list.
All earned HypeX and HypeCash will be split based on the percentage set here.
This will only affect HypeX/HypeCash earned after the shares are confirmed. Previously earned HypeX/HypeCash won't be affected.
Any other member of the game can do the same and they will be connected to the same session automatically.
Now the host-role will be transferred to another member of the game in that session.
When members make changes to the game, the current host can either save the game normally or press back, which triggers a Cloud Save.
Cloud Save changes can be seen by other members only in the editor, they are not shown outside it until the game is saved.
