Art Styles includes settings related to lighting, background, fog & filters that affect the overall look of your game world.
Select a Style from the list of presets or create custom styles.
Custom & preset Art Styles can be edited to fit your desired look.
To customize a Style select one from the list and then tap the pencil icon that appears over the preview thumbnail.

Copy | Copy the current Background, Fog & Filter settings to a new preset |

Name | Give your style a name |
Tabs | Switch between Sun, Background, Fog & Filters tabs to edit parameters |
Includes 4 sets of parameters that affect the look of the sunlight as well as the visual look of the sun.
Sun Color | Select the color of the sunlight |
Sun Intensity | Set the intensity or brightness of the sunlight |
Sun Height | Set the vertical position in the sky of the sun |
Sun Direction | Set the horizontal position of the sun in the sky |
Note: The Sun Controller Node will override the Height & Direction settings in this menu
The sun glow only affects the visual look of the sun in your game and will only be visible if the sun is visible in your sky.
Sun glow does not affect the light coming from the sun
Exposure affects the overall brightness or darkness of your game by mimicking the exposure of light on film. The more exposure the brighter the image.
Ambient light settings simulate indirect light in your scene
Ambient light uses a gradient to determine how ambient light mixes with visual materials in your scene.
Ambient Top Color | Set the top color for the ambient light gradient |
Ambient Middle Color | Set the middle color for the ambient light gradient |
Ambient Bottom Color | Set the bottom color for the ambient light gradient |
Gradient Softness | A softer gradient will have a smoother transition between each color |
Ambient Intensity | Set the intensity of ambient light in the scene |
In this menu creators can customize the look of the background/sky in their game
Background Style | Select what type of background your Game will use |
↳ Gradient | Background is a gradient |
↳ Custom Image | Custom background image. For best results upload 2:1 image |
Depending which Background Style is selected the following settings will change
Sky Color | Set the color of your sky/background |
Sky Brightness | Set the brightness of your sky/background |
Sky Top Color | Set the top color of the sky gradient |
Sky Horizon Color | Set the horizon color of the sky gradient |
Sky Bottom Color | Set the bottom color of the sky gradient Note: depending on the ground type selected this option may be hidden |
Gradient Softness | A softer gradient will have a smoother transition between each color |
Horizon Height | Set the height of the sky horizon |
Stable Horizon | Lock the vertical position of the horizon on the screen when the camera is moving |
Sky Brightness | Set the brightness of your sky/background |
Adjust values related to the Fog in the game world. Note that the fog cannot be turned off.
Fog Tint Color | Select a tint color for the fog Note: Fog color is also affected by the background colors, tint is applied on top of these colors |
Fog Start | Select the starting point for fog |
Fog End | Select the end point for the fog |
Fog Density | This slider adjusts the thickness of the fog |
The fog settings affect the maximum distance you can see in a Hype, the Fog End value, and how much objects become obscured the further away they get. The fog values are based on distance from the Game Camera.
Bloom Bloom simulates an imaging artifact of real-world cameras. The effect produces fringes of light extending from the borders of bright areas in an image, it basically means bright things appear to glow. |
